Improving Teacher Programme

Improving Teacher Programme

Who is it for?

This programme is for teachers who want to advance, develop and improve their teaching practice and deliver consistently good lessons.

How much does it cost?

Places on the programme cost £575 per delegate and include all resources, lunch and refreshments.

What will it achieve?

Having completed the programme, participants will:

  • understand the key concepts underpinning good practice in the classroom
  • be aware of the impacts of these concepts on good teaching and learning
  • provide students with the best possible learning experience
  • improve standards in their school
  • increase their job satisfaction
  • work more effectively as an active member of the school team
What does it involve?

Each programme comprises six sessions over six weeks and is delivered by outstanding teachers. Learning takes place through face to face sessions that include observation, practical activities, feedback and also through mentoring.

Participants work in ‘Learning Threes’ and gain most where schools are able to send three teachers on the same course, as practical school-based tasks are based on these groups of three. This sort of collaborative learning, supported by facilitators, and the quality of content, are what the evidence suggest make the difference between a conventional course and our programme.

When is the next course taking place?

The current Improving Teacher Programme is taking place at Alexandra Park School (Bidwell Gardens, London, N11).  Please find the dates below:
